This is turning out to be quite a year for video game adaptations, isn’t it? I mean after the likes of Mortal Kombat II and Street Fighter, we have Resident Evil breathing down our neck, and this time around, Zach Cregger has checked into the franchise. The director who has delivered major hits like Barbarian and Weapons, now takes the mythos of Resident Evil to create something that is more of an original, standalone movie.
