Did you know this in the amazing digital circus?
During the episode 9 trailer we got hints that jax could take over the circus and become the main villain. Let me explain.
So throughout the episode 9 trailer we see jax a few times and he acts very erratic, even more so than usual. He has a deranged expression and we see him in a dark area. During one frame his body is replaced with tv static, it’s quite ominous.
He’s featured prominently in the poster for the finale, and he’s even in the thumbnail for the trailer.
If you look closely at the colours, each side of his face is faintly coloured red and blue. These colours are closely linked with caine and the scene from 7 where they tried to leave the circus.
So combined together it’s entirely possible that jax becomes the true villain of the show. With caine gone there’s no antagonist, jax would fill that role for the last episode.
He’s gooseworx’s favourite character, and caine’s voice actor said michael kovach’s best performance is in 9.
Maybe Jax enters the dark area and uses his conjuring power to take over the circus, getting caine’s powers.
This would also explain why there’s flashbacks of him and ribbit in the trailer, we’ll see jax completely spiral into insanity, getting a look at his past.
